Introducing
Alaqadar Btxd N Btwn (AI)
These videos will take approx 25 minutes to download

This video is 15 frames per second and traces
10 stides, the images are sporatic.

This next video is 50 sequential
images and provides a better explanation of
how essential co ordination is to perpitrate a smooth springy gait.
Check the
placement of the rear feet as they pass past the front forquarter foot prints
note
how the forequarter lifts the Afghan and how the rear drives the hound forward
and up, until gravity overtakes and the animal
commences the negotiation of
the next reaching stride.

Sire : NZ Ch Eros of Juwain at 9 years
offspring
: Alaqadar Cobol
Co ordination is genetic and appears to be dominant
in some lines
George is the Son of Eros of Juwain and sire
of Alaqadar Cobol
George is able to complete 10 laps of 100 meter circumference circle and
maintains the same fore and aft reach and drive symmetry upon completion.
I will be providing a presentation on "Benchmarking Afghan Gait" at the
South African Afghan Congress in 2005. This will deal with the gait and video of
yesteryear, yesterday, today and what seems to be taking place around the Globe
and problems associated with understanding the uniqueness of this breeds gait.
George's video was taken at the AHCV Specialty in March 2004.
George is 3 years old and shown at 1-2 Specialties each year here in Australia.
He is an athletic Alpha Dog who has great enthusiasm for life, his Sires side
is 12 generations from Sirdar of Ghazni. Some might call George a primitive Afghan.
His second litter is now 5 weeks with photos available in the next week........

I would be interested in anyone who has footage
of existing or recent Afghans
who have comparable co ordination Please contact terry@pedigreeplus.com
